If you haven't started to exercise for Trek, now is the time to jump on it! We have a 12 week workout program for you (designed by a doctor) to help you get into trekking shape. I already posted the details for Week 1 for any who wanted to get a head start...but I'm re-posting them today so that the reminders are fresh.
SO HERE IT IS:
Week One: Get outside and do at least one (preferably more) 2-3 mile walk. (walk 45 min-1 hr.) Start by walking around your neighborhood. Walk at a brisk pace so that you can feel your heart beating a little faster and you can feel yourself breathing a little harder. Walk with a partner, a dog or your iPod to make it more enjoyable.
As ALWAYS make sure you check with your doctor before you begin ANY exercise program.
